How to Use Reflexion

Getting Started

Signing Up & Logging In

• New Users: You can create an account using an email and password or by signing in with your Google account.
• Invited Users: If you received an invitation link via email, your email address will be pre-filled on the sign-up page. Simply complete the registration to join.
• Existing Users: Log in with your credentials. If you have any pending invitations, they will be automatically processed when you log in.

The Main Interface

The main screen is your creative space. A new question is presented to you to inspire your next reflection. The sidebar on the left is your main navigation hub, allowing you to access all features.

Recording Your Reflections

When you select a question, you have three ways to record your response using the tabs:

• Video: Use the "Video" tab to record a video response using your device's camera. Click "Record Video" to start and "Stop Recording" to finish.
• Text: Use the "Text" tab to write down your thoughts. Remember to click the "Save Text" button when you're done.
• Audio: Use the "Audio" tab to record an audio-only response using your microphone.

You can record multiple video or audio responses for a single question. Each recording is saved and can be shared independently.

Sharing, Invitations & Connections

Sharing Your Reflections

Next to each reflection, you'll find a "Share" icon. Clicking this opens a dialog where you can grant access to your story.

• Share with People: Enter an email address to share with anyone. If they don't have a Reflexion account, they'll receive an email invitation to join.
• Share with Family: Choose a linked family member from your Family Tree to share with them directly.
• Share with Groups: Select a group you've created to share with multiple people at once.

Managing Connections

• Family Tree: On the "My Family" page, you can build a visual representation of your family. Add members, define their relationship to you, and link their profiles to their Reflexion accounts once they join.
• Groups: On the "Manage Groups" page, you can create groups of users (e.g., "Close Friends") to make sharing reflections quick and easy.
• Shared With Me: This page shows all the reflections that others have shared with you.

Legacy Settings

The "Legacy Settings" page allows you to plan for the future of your stories if your account becomes inactive.

• Enable Legacy Access: Turn on this feature to begin.
• Set Inactivity Period: Choose how long your account must be inactive (e.g., 12 months) before your legacy is activated.
• Select Legacy Contacts: Choose family members or groups who will receive access to all your reflections when the inactivity period is met.
